InfoRelay Online Systems, Inc. developed OnTheWeb primarily as a URL redirection service, providing Internet users with easier-to-remember web addresses for their sites. OnTheWeb underwent a major redesign in late 1999 to support the amazing amount of growth that it experienced since its beginnings.
By mid-2002 a great amount of time, energy, and resources were spent in building OnTheWeb. With a growing base of highly grateful users, it became evident that to keep OnTheWeb a healthy business, it would need to become profitable. From this, Sitelutions was born! Though Sitelutions replaced OnTheWeb, not only did it retain all of the old services, it offered much, much more as well.
In the tradition of OnTheWeb, Sitelutions would continue to offer free URL redirection. Sitelutions would also offer free DNS, free Dynamic DNS, and extremely inexpensive Domain Name Registration and Web Hosting. Sitelutions would also offer a very high level of redundancy and reliability; there is no single point of failure for the site, or for the URL redirection and DNS services. Attempting to be even more generous, InfoRelay decided to donate 10% of profits to charities as chosen by Sitelutions users. Not many companies can make such a bold pledge, but InfoRelay is incredibly proud to do so.
And so, in March 2003, OnTheWeb became Sitelutions - Solutions For Your Site, All In One Place™.
